With the ambition of spreading awareness about the services to the community, Oman Research, and education network- OMREN started the journey of workshops in 24-jan; and university of Nizwa took the initiative to be the first host in the community.

Dr. Ahmed Alshukaili – The Dean of Research had the opening speech to welcome the university staff and students and appreciated the initiative from OMREN for the effort. And highlight the significance of the various services provided by OMREN to the deferent sections in the university & the encouraged to properly utilize them.

While Mr. Salim Alamri – OMREN representer partook by introducing OMREN & its significance role to support research, higher education and the services provided via the collaborations with the members and strategic partners.

additionally, the workshop included informative training from the teams of Oman Data Park and Oman virtual science library- Masader, on how to use and benefit from their solutions. In Addition; a great collaboration from Jennifer McCoy – Assistant Language Lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University who partook by explaining Mirsal service. OMREN appreciate such collaborations from the community to share knowledge and experience with their peers.

The workshop illustrated great interest by the 120+ participant from the university via video conferencing technology.
