OMREN participated in the eighth international platform on integrating the Arab e- infrastructure in global environment e-AGE18, which was held in Amman, Jordan. Dr. Abdulmonem bin Ali Al Kharusi, OMREN director, presented the most important developments in the project and the services provided by the OMREN, where the attendees have welcomed the continuous developments of OMREN project as planned. During the meeting, several panel discussions were held with the CEO of the European Educational Networks (JANET) and with the Executive Director of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) and a group of Arab and international network managers. Where they discussed different options to connect researchers and cooperation between them to enrich the innovation and find solutions for many of the local and global problems of the services provided by the research networks. The conference also addressed the need to invest in cyber security and intensify awareness within the academic center of the elementary stages and to introduce them as study rapporteurs at all stages. The meetings were attended by Dr. Abdulmonem bin Ali Al Kharusi and Eng. Nasser bin Ali Al-Manthari.
