Omani Research and Education Network (OMREN) actively participated in the 58th meeting of the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN58), held in Pakistan from August 26 to 30. This meeting is one of the most prominent global events that brings together thought leaders and researchers from around the world to discuss the latest developments and innovations in academic and research networks.
OMREN was represented at this event by Riya Al-Rashdi and Abdulaziz Alkhali, who actively engaged in vital discussions on innovations and challenges facing research and education networks. The representatives highlighted the importance of the meeting in promoting international collaboration and knowledge exchange between academic and research institutions, with a focus on enhancing the educational and technological infrastructure in Oman.
The event featured the exchange of ideas and expertise through workshops and panel discussions, along with a technical team meeting between the Pakistan Research and Education Network (PERN) and OMREN’s technical team. OMREN’s representatives expressed their readiness to collaborate with various international institutions to strengthen the role of scientific research in addressing global challenges and achieving shared goals in education and technology.
