Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, represented by OMREN, organized today OMREN Technology Summit (OTS23) under the theme “Higher Edecation Institutions and their Role in Advancing a knowledge-Based Economy” at the Avenues Hotel in Muscat Governorate.
The conference was patronized by His Highness Sayyid/ Marwan bin Turki bin Mahmood Al Said, the Governor of Dhofar.
Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the Omani Network for Scientific Research and Innovation in facilitating knowledge and the knowledge-based economy as a fundamental driver for scientific research, creativity, and innovation.
Her Excellency mentioned that the conference, in its second edition, focuses on the contribution of higher education institutions to the knowledge-based economy and highlights success stories achieved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
